Eastern Point Lit House is a full service literary center and book incubator based in Gloucester, MA. Now in our second year, we offer a quiet place for writers to work, editorial services, workshops, readings, and other events, as well as a wide selection of new books from independent presses and an eclectic collection of used books. We look forward to meeting you and growing with the community of Gloucester, Massachusetts.
Our Creative Space
Our physical home is 261 Main Street in Gloucester, MA. This is where the magic happens: writing, mentoring, critiques, workshops, readings, openings, and all sorts of other creative events. We also sell books from independent presses (including our own Lit House Press titles) and fun "writer stuff" (mugs, t-shirts, hand-made journals, etc.). Our hours are:
Tuesday-Saturday: 11 a.m.–5 p..m.
What is a Book Incubator?
Simply put, Eastern Point Lit House offers our table to working writers for FREE so they can get their ideas from brain to the page in a quiet place surrounded by great books. As writers ourselves we know what kind of magic can happen when writers work in the same space at the same time. So when it is too chaotic at home and the coffee shop is too noisy, you are invited to take a seat at our table and WRITE.
